Interesting stat on Sky Sports that Essex have won two thirds of their limited overs matches since 2008.

just watching the start of the yorks game and it struck me just how similar Lees and Lyth are style-wise and same could be said about Ballance and Root

all have their bats very high in their stance , all drop back in their crease and try to play the ball late

Yorkshire's innings exposes the fallacy that it's essential to bat out your overs. Batting out a series of 0-3 runs an over hasn't brought any benefit, and they've got out batting cautiously anyway.
