263 to win. Think Australia have about 89 overs to bowl England out.

Should be able to block out for a draw.

I think if they play negatively as they did in their first innings they will be easily beaten.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

It will take some doing to get this.

I think it would be a womens test record if they do.

So, womens tests are only FOUR days?

No wonder they have declared so early.

Go Aus.

Highest fourth innings total is 229/5 and achieved by England in 1986.

Highest fourth innings to win is 198/3 achieved by Australia in 2011.

Highest total England have achieved to win is 173/3 against En Zed in Christchurch 1969. Imagine being at that match, it's easy if you try.

Very different game to the mens clearly so drawing any comparisons would be Picasso-esque.

Add to that only 5 scores of better than 150 runs have ever been made to win a women's test match.

Yes, but two of those 5 occurred this decade and they are the two highest so perhaps the game is changing.

Sorry. Maybe I should have written "can go no longer THAN 4 days"?

I had just assumed that a test is a five dayer.

Should Aus win the test, which is looking good, and go on to win the Ashes, then - regardless of what has already happened in the ODI's, and what is yet to come in the T20's - Jess Jonassen is the player of the series, for mine.
