He's got too big for his boots. Had a go when he was dropped from the ODI side, had a go at Graves after the WIs defeat, now he says it's him or KP.

It is quite funny that Cook says he would have walked if KP returned. Is Cook forgetting his useless record doesnt really have any currency with the majority of fans? Im not sure many people would be bothered if he walked away, in fact, a lot of people would like him to. It smacks of petulance and a heightened opinion of ones self

The fact is this, there is a lot more to be gained right now by backing Cook than backing KP. In 18 months time KP will be gone even if he came back right now, and likely as not it would be yet another acrimonious departure.

Cook has just got a monkey off his back with the hundred and past experience says in that scenario he tends to find runs come freely for a while. Remember when everyone was about to drop him before the 2010/11 Ashes?

It seems to be overlooked that Cook has been a rather outspoken individual in recent times. He slammed the selectors and management after the World Cup, he went after the incoming CEO after the West Indies and then said he would quit if a player was selected. For all the talk about KPs errors over the years, he has not been close to being as outspoken as Cook has in the last few months.
