County Fantasy Manager 2015

Vern Philander has taken 5 wickets in 3 matches...... another high priced flop this year for me. 21 average in tests but cant take wickets vs county teams!!!

Jessie Ryder as a sole bowler would have been a better purchase!!!

Philly will do well. he is much better than 5 in 3.

Well I paid big money for him knowing that he would only be at the club till effectively the end of this month ( I think 6-7 matches he was contracted for)..... but had the misguided assumption that his hit the deck style of bowling would tear teams apart in early season conditions, and that buying him would be an effective short term signing in the early season.

But it seems that teams are happy to defend him out of the attack and then attempt to score runs off other people, which means he hasn't taken any wickets..... and he only has 3 matches left, so he is looking like a very poor signing

Considering he is a strike opening swing bowler who can run through line ups and is one of the next best batsman amongst specialist bowlers, apart from Ashwin, he is worth selecting in team. Maybe it is bad form or some minor niggle which is affecting his performances.

Allenby fails again. Given how much I spent on him (my highest purchase) and the fact that he's supposed to contribute with bat and ball, he's surely the worst signing of the season so far.

Once again, I run into a one man wrecking ball blasting my side apart by having the best day of his career....

Having 5 bowlers to choose from I left out Morris who too 9 wickets whilst Murtagh carried on where he left off last week by getting injured again and bowled only 2 balls. Not one of my 7 batsmen could get a 50 but Jennings who I left out made 98.
I've no idea what Red's team looks like but it hardly matters.

Red is going to wallop you hope, I'm afraid, if his team for this week looks anything like his team for last week

My match with Bhave is an odd one. Most strange. he has stacks more runs than I do (600+ to <250), but I have stacks more wickets (22 to 7), and at the moment I am well ahead. Problem is I have hardly any players left, still playing, and almost none of them will need to bat much and so score me more runs (indeed the only one still batting, Wallace, has just been pulled off by his captains declaration in what looks like one of those you bat for a bit, and then we'll bat for a bit, nonsense agreements.

Bhave, on the other hand has only really got 2 bowlers still in the game, but they are Cosker on a day 4 pitch, and Siddle in a match where wickets rather than runs will win it.

It only takes one of those 2 to bag a hatful of wickets on day 4 and I could find my lead hauled right back

I'm either going to win by mile, or lose narrowly on the final day, and I have no idea which!
