I have re-processed the Google Docs, which I will PM to everyone this evening. I am hopeful that the only cells you will be able to change are those in Column A, which should create a drop down list of your squad.

Please have a play with them to see if I have got it right this time :)

Having looked at what HTFB managed to do his original spreadsheet, I can tell that I didn't put the correct protections in the earlier ones :d'oh:

Hales is having a blinder for you, and Voges has picked up a wicket - which is really going to wind me up as I think they were among those top players that you picked up in the lottery that somehow favoured those that had already splurged on superstar signings. You may have been hacked off when I won that match on day 4 last year but at least it was fair and square; whereas I suspect I may well lose this and have a sense of injustice to go with it so I'll be even more hacked off than you were.

My cause is also unlikely to be helped by the injuries to / absences of Bird, Fletcher, Chris Wood, Buck, Tom Smith, Ambrose, Carver and Rob Taylor ... and probably others that I've forgotten.

Bird going back home to Oz, because of his injury. In all likelihood, he wont play for us at all this season. Whoever has Fidel Edwards will now get to use him earlier than first planned.

brilliant :facepalm

Not sure how this could be viewed as good news. Bird is a top class bowler who should really be in the Aus team if he could stay fit and would have mauled most county batsmen - Fidel probably won't even get in the team and is nowhere near the WI squad.

We've made in quite clear that he's going straight into the team for our next game vs Yorks, just so long as he doesn't spend ten days bowling absolute tripe in the nets.

We wouldn't have asked him to fly over three months early, if we were just going to ask him to carry the drinks.

I didn't know that, but still - it's that 10 days of bowling tripe that is probably quite likely. I'll be pleasantly surprised if Fidel actually does well - we can always hope :D

anyone could have bid for anyone, of course.

the lottery still favoured those that had spent the most per player in the bidding. I'm pretty sure Hales was top of my preference list for the lottery which I sent by PM, which had been the alternative suggestion for how to do the lottery.

any hoo ... all too late to fix this year.

Four very close matches this week, with some players extremely unlucky to lose. Indeed, RD was up against the only team that would have defeated the Devils!
