7 players with Gale suspended, effectively 8 with Sidebottom injured.

Just 17 overs needed to chase down the target of 105 and win by 10 wickets.

Repeat the feat against Notts and Warwickshire, then I might just get excited.

Emphatic in the end. Hope Sidebottom is ok.

Yes Worcester aren't the strongest of sides.

Notts & Warks will provide a sterner test.

Is nobody going to mention Notts taking the best opening bowler in the country and turning him into a 2nd change ??

And their overseas man contributing zero.Tremendous achievement. Rashid and Plunkett will return but Lyth will almost certainly be involved with England and probably Barstow.

Yorkshire squad against Notts will look very difficult to the won that clinched the title last year

2014: Lees, Lyth, Ballance, Root, Bairstow, Leaning, Rashid, Bresnan, Patterson, Sidebottom
2015 (at a guess): Lees, Rhodes, Pujara, Gale, Pyrah, Leaning, Hodd, Bresnan, Patterson, Brooks, Carver

In comparison, Notts will have strengthened!
2014: Mullaney, Hales, Lumb, Taylor, Patel, Wessels, Read, Fletcher, Ball, Keedy, Gurney
2015: Mullaney, B.Taylor, Hales. J.Taylor, Patel, Wessels, Read, Gidman, Philander, Ball, Gurney

No Luke Fletcher in the current Notts team-is he injured?

His calf muscle injury will keep him out for some time according to Gillespie.

Sussex have won their match. Could be an interesting afternoon in the Middlesex-Notts match. Middlesex lost their second wicket in the stroke of lunch so have 7 wickets left ( Malan apparently not able to bat) to try and survive for 2 sessions. Must be a fairly flat pitch though.

Looks as if Middlesex are going to hang on for a draw against Notts who need 2 wickets in 2 overs.

I'm already beginning to miss County cricket after only one day without it. IPL and England tests are no substitute.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

The test is a bit tedious but it's nice to watch emerging players like Root, Ballance,Stokes and Jordan trying to establish themselves.
