Man Utd are actually slight favourites in next weekend's Manchester Derby now.

Agree about the first part, but I would be surprised if Ancelotti left Real Madrid. Perez seemed very keen to come out and tell the rebelling Spanish press that Ancelotti was going nowhere and had his full confidence in their recent period of poor results, something that is fully believable seeing as how much Perez has in the past been brutally frank with his opinion and voice.

From a Madrid perspective, which managers big enough to go to Madrid have either not managed there already and been sacked, or aren't ex-Barcelona managers that they wouldn't touch?

nah - i really don't think we've played as well as people seem to think (and City will be even more desperate to win now) e.g. we had a decent first half against Liverpool but then they outplayed us with only 10 men in the second half.

United are playing better now and City are just not looking good. Would probably put united as favorites for this

We were good against Spurs.

We beat a Liverpool side that hadn't lost since December at Anfield of all places. We only needed the first half to win, it was total domination.

The side has started to click, with a few unlikely faces. We've finally found the right balance. MOTD went crazy over the triangles but they do exist between Valencia/Herrera/Mata and Blind/Young/Fellaini on the other side.

Of course, City pose another problem, they have so much to prove with great individual players but I'm more confident than for a while against them.

Considering people were making silly comparisons to Moyes just a couple weeks ago, it's been a great turnaround in the way we've been playing. This a more Van Gaal team. Still massive fixtures to go of course and I still don't think top 4 is a cert. Won the last 5 but lose the next two and things look bad again.

Don't think you can fault United over the past 2 months. Herrera and Mata are now linking up nicely, and since Van Gaal realised Wayne Rooney was a striker, he also looks back to somewhere near his top level.

Herrera looks a very good signing all of a sudden. Hard to see why they ignored him for the early part of the year despite being the solution to the most obvious defect in the side.

We were average today, and poor in the 1st half, but a BIG win, especially with Spurs throwing points away

is this 8 league wins in a row for the Gunners?

Not going to win the league, but look good for second at present. Potentially a big improvement on last year if they can keep it going. And a good bet for another Trophy

I don't think for one second that ourselves or Liverpool will catch you or City, but it's partly because of you're impending game vs Chelsea that if I had to choose a loser today, it would be Utd. Despite your current form, I still see you as being every so slightly more catchable than City.

Without any doubt though, the winner today (if there is one) will be playing CL football next season.
