Interesting to watch a replay of the Rijkaard spitting incident when he gobbed into Vollers hair twice in the 1990 World Cup. Poor old Rudi he gets booked for reacting to the first spit, then gets a red card for a challenge on the dutch keeper thirty seconds later where he never touches him, and as as he walks off after being sent off Rijkaard spits at him again. Poor bloke.

That was disgusting.

He definitely spits at Cisse but I'm not sure any hits him, whereas Cisse catches Evans fully with his gob full.

There is a slight case for suggesting that he was spitting at the ground in disgust which is different from spitting straight at somebody.

Makes some good points.

Manchester City won the title, then spent £88m on new players. Liverpool finished second, then invested £114.8m. Chelsea have sold well but have paid out £112.8m since last year. Arsenal’s outlay for the same period has been £95m. United’s spending shouldn’t come into arguments.
