Norwich on a great run, 6 wins in a row. I guess Grabban will no longer be regretting his switch, back in the starting line up and scoring goals as well.

An amazing goal at that...bounced off his arse and trickled over the line

The new boss seems to prefer him to Jerome mind, and he scored two against Watford the week before. Strange, Grabban under Adams didn't get a look after the first few games, Jerome started and scored 18 odd goals and has now been benched.... but I seen Norwich play under Adams, and his idea off football was route one everything to Jerome... they looked like they discovered what passing was against Ipswich again.

And we could conceivably go top on Friday with a win, albeit for 19 hours.

It will start to break up soon.

Ipswich have a tough schedule left and are flagging at the moment..... hazard a guess Wolves may overtake them, a win tonight is tremendously important for them....8th

Middlesbrough play everyone and their position is benefitted by recent easy schedules, lots of strong teams away... 6th

Norwich are blasting through teams at the moment, and all their tougher games are at home, with no real standout teams away..... Automatic

Watford are also blasting through teams at the moment, and their schedule is not as tough as others..... 3rd place

Brentford have been patch lately, but have played a lot of top teams recently, and the schedule now eases off.... 5th

Derby also play some big teams away, and have a tough schedule coming up..... 4th

Bournemouth have played everyone now, and although they lost some steam, a home game to Middlesbrough and an away game at Ipswich in 5 weeks times are their only concerns.... and by that time Ipswich and Middlesbrough may be dead on their feet with consistently tough games coming...... Automatic

Wolves.... cant make it, too far away, 7th

The more I look at it, the more I think Bournemouth.

I hope you're right Sussex, but I have my doubts, but then I am a pessimist!

In the past couple of seasons we have gone on very good runs at around this time and picked up alot of points. In 2012/13 we won nine in a row to clinch promotion after a poor run of five games and last year we were on 39 points after 32 games and ended up on 66, so in recent times we do tend to start playing well in March/April time. I would suggest the pitches start to improve in Spring which suits our passing game, but alot of pitches are good all year round these days, with the exception of Brntford and Blackpool at this level.

Derby have Bent missing for a few games. This will hinder, but I still think they'll finish in the top two.

My top six are as follows.

Derby
Norwich (on sussex's say so)
Middlesbrough
Bournemouth
Watford
Brentford

With the exceptions of Norwich and Watford, who at the moment are blasting football team sized holes in everything they go near, all the teams have been patchy at the top recently. Bournemouth have the biggest reason for that, as they have had the toughest schedule to deal with(maybe after Norwich, who have played Derby away, Ipswich at home, Watford and Brentford away, Bournemouth away, all since January, even Blackburn was a tough game they played away two weeks ago).....

So while other teams have tougher games to sort their form out, Bournemouth could be in the position to pull away into the distance by the time Early April and a few tough games come along. They need to really think if they add daylight between themselves and others in the next month, then they could even afford to lose a few in April and May and go up.

While my pride and money was on Norwich, even when they were 11th or so at Christmas, their simply mental form cant keep going to the end.

Norwich (on sussex's say so)

:lmao

They are a win at home to 23rd, and an away win at 21st on Saturday away from 8 or 9 league games in a row..... and the Bookies now make them a 0.5 to 1 point favourite at 5/2 to win the league!! Its hardly like its just me saying they are favourites!!!

I just happened to fancy them at the start, and bet on them at Christmas at odds that dwarf the current 5/2.....

That is a fair assessment. Derby are acting a bit strange at the moment, bring in six loan players win a few games then go and lose two in a row. Have the squad to do it, but sometimes new faces can disrupt as well as strengthen. Obviously if Norwich keep going as they are they'll comfortably win the division, but pressure may start to tell if they hit the top and other teams start to realise that they have to raise their games to compete. Middlesborough, very strong defensively, but again have had some strange reverses recently. Bournemouth haven't strengthened but I think their squad is currently strong enough to see out the season. Watford are on a fairly good run right now but do have the ability to self destruct at important times. Brentford are probably the surprise team of the season, very strong at home and personally the best side I've seen at Dean Court this season, but may run out of steam.
