This seems to me impossible, and that's not even going into the mathematical side of it.

I'm not sure its 3 minutes 95% of the time, 4 and 5 minutes have their fair share.

Why did Messi clear the ball out for a goal kick? Must have gotten confused at the impossibility of missing a penalty and thought he was defending.

Poor pen, even worse header. 2-1 should be enough for Barca.

Barca have done enough. They could have sealed the tie there but 99% sure that miss won't matter.

Possibly, but I still think it's a load of baloney. Who controls the stop watch and when?

Well done in the end City, you've done Manchester proud IMHO.

Or are they paid off? How many times have Barca played against 10?

If he hadnt been booked I think you would change your mind.... his foot is high and nowhere near the ball, its a yellow all the time and everytime, its just people give more leeway when a player is already booked

I thought he missed the ball by a fraction, got his timing slightly wrong, no malice, Barca player made the most of the challenge, soft yellow card for me. I thought the tackle which earned him his first booking was a bit soft as well, a bit of common sense from the referee to keep the game 11 v 11 surely.

You cant clatter into someone with your leg up like that and not expect to get booked nowadays, yes its soft, but its equally dumb..... Im not going mad, the BBC live feed's assessment....

The defender is too slow and clatters Dani Alves in the knee. Clear booking - his second of the game - and he is out of there.

Messi's main weakness is arguably the easiest thing in football - scoring a penalty. His conversion rate is only about 75%.

There does always seem to be a lot more time added on in the second half than the first. I guess it's just down to the substitutions.

Well if its the BBC's assessment I give it zero credence!

Ha,ha we are talking about ex footballers commentating. I think I'll take the opinions of my fellow bloggers on this forum more into account than an ex footballer.

Maybe not everyones opinion on here. ;)

I would go further and say his general 1-1 finishing isnt brilliant, but he makes 4 times the chances of any other footballer on a pitch

I think how ever you look at it, as an overall sending off it was very soft, and incorrect. The ref should have taken this into account, but he simply wasn't up to the task.

All the momentum was with City, and his poor decision may well have changed the tie.

Just seen the Clichy incident. I wouldn't have tackled like that when on a yellow, especially in Europe, even though it was soft.

Yep I think that's spot on Mark, but I'm sure you will be corrected.

I understand Messi hardly utters a word on the pitch for the full 90 minutes even to his team mates.
