No matter which team they field or who captains, the results are not going to be different. Too many non performers in same match.
Test FL's - 8 , ODI and Tests Combo FL's - 1, ODI World Cup - 1, ODI FL's - 7, ODI and T20i combo FL's - 1 ,

why would you not play a guy who was arguably your best bowler during the test series and is good with the bat ?

Aren't Ashwin and Jadeja (if fit) certainties for the WC?

Is Axar a good enough bat to replace Sir, or are they more likely to select Binny?

Ashwin is playing anyway since india will always go with 2 spinner in the team apart from maybe NZ or possibly WACA ( which I have no idea why considering the 4th pace option will be Binny)
Axar should play all games in the tri series since Jadeja isn't considered till the final of the World cup warm up games.
Although Dhoni said all 15 players will be used in the tri series so expect 1-2 changes each games and different strategies being used.
Binny is probably guaranteed to play at the Waca against England to try out the 4 seam attack option although if it rains at the gabba that might be the best place to try binny.

Be interesting if Dhoni/Fletcher/Shastri changes the opening position every couple of games to give both player the opportunity to stake their claim to the opening spot I would personally prefer if Rohit was at 4 and Rahane opens.

This should be the team for tomorrow game.

Dhawan
Rohit
Kohli
Rahane
Raina
Dhoni
Ashwin
Axar patel
B Kumar
Shami
Yadav

I Expect Rohit and Rahane to swap around a few times in this series or the world cup warm up games, Rayudu to play one game in place of Raina.
2 of Ashwin, Binny, jadeja and Axar should play each game.
3 of Shami, B Kumar, Yadav, Ishant, Mohit would play as well.
Not sure Dhawal Kulkarni will play a game unless 2-3 pace bowlers got a niggle.

they probably select Axar considering he will guarantee 8-10 overs where as Binny only Gonna provide 5-6 overs.
Binny only in the squad just in case conditions dictate 4 seam bowlers.

Also heard if Jadeja doesn't make it to the world cup he will be replaced by Mohit sharma and Axar will be the 2nd spinner in the side and be straight swap for jadeja..

Don't know what to say really. I mean, the most powerful batting line up he has ever played with, a few days back he said the best test series he had played (against India). I guess this would be the best ever world cup he would feature in, and the best hotel he has stayed while on tour, the best ever coach he has had in Moores, best outgoing captain in Steely, best current captain in Morgan…. i say just sing this song going forward -

I was thinking when Moores was puffing up Bell after his 180, you know, why not try stopping this? Moores had been extolling Emperor Steely just a few weeks earlier, before backtracking when Morgs was handed the ceremonial cloth cap. He makes the players look stupid when they fall short.

Why not embrace the underdog status? Just say they are there to do their best. It's a honour to be given the chance. Accept they have absolutely nothing to brag about.

24 hours to a day, WT.

The time zones don't work for you? I am part of the reason they are all d/n games - I would watch very little of it if it was a all day game. I will watch something like 60% of it now.

Ha,ha making splinters. True it is the time zone that bugs me, and I remember well the first ODI at night I saw at Sydney with a ridiculous sun set. On the other hand I miss the all day events where the elements are even.
