Morgan is getting a reaction which isn't placed in context of a long struggle, for this knock. Supporters will pick out advantageous stats to justify their place in the side. But as an XI they usually lose.

and people might over-react to his knock today but when no-one else in the team even scores 30 then I think he deserves the credit rather than saying he is only doing enough to keep his place in the team

woakes has been probably the highlight of the last 6-9 months for me , his bowling has looked a lot sharper and with his batting ability I think he is going to be a real asset to us in tests and ODIs
