Some lovely shots being played by these two Arthur, Yorkshire look set fair. I'm going to have some Pontefract cakes as a tribute.

Yorks got a stranglehold on the championship and today are tightening their grip. Notts have been having a miserable time in all competitions recently and look to have no answers to the the batting of Lyth and Lees. Losing Adams and Siddle from their attack has greatly reduced its potency.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Are we saying that a draw here wins Yorks the title, at least probably?

A draw is enough if Yorkshire score 3 or more bonus points than Warwickshire should they beat Northants.

No Yorkshire Tea?

Tetley is a vile bitter (with the exception of Tetley's Gold but that's really a Banks's Bitter)

Siddle was unplayable at Headingley in the ealier County Championship fixture, Lyth and Lees couldn't handle the extra pace. Of the Yorkshire top 6, it was Jack Leaning who had the ability to tame Siddle.

Gary Ballance trapped LBW for 99, Yorkshire 362-5.

James Whittaker down at Trent Bridge, must be watching Adil Rashid.
