First 50 over game of the season today, and a rose match too boot. Given the way Yorkshire batted yesterday, not much confidence in us winning.

Is there any chance of Flintoff playing a part in thus comp or was his return strictly limited to t20? 50 over cricket is a lot more physically demanding for bowlers.

Highly unlikely, I don't think he's registered to play in it, he said he wasn't going to, "Push his luck".

Squad: Paul Horton (capt), Tom Bailey, Karl Brown, Jordan Clark, Steven Croft, Alex Davies (wkt), Kyle Jarvis, Kabir Ali, Arron Lilley, Stephen Parry, Ashwell Prince, Luis Reece, Usman Khawaja, Wayne White.

Ton up for Brown. Cracking knock, though we're still way behind the eight ball.

Cruel to be given a glimmer of hope. Well played to Brown and Yorkshire.

Good to see Reece back in the side after a long stint in the Seconds.

Huge loss to the old enemy, just goes to show quite how out gunned we are in the first division at present. Hard to see another win for us this season, and anything but the drop for us at the end of it.

Hopefully it will prompt the Club into adressing the persistant underperformance of the players, and the dire lack of decent batsmen in the side. With Prince retiring at the end of the season, some signings will ahve to be made.

Middlesex not safe yet and they have to play both Lancs & Durham so hopefully we could both avoid relegation.
Any chance that Prince could decide to postpone his retirement? Still playing really well.

I thought Prince was retiring due to having another job, some sort of business career.

Kyle Hogg retires from all cricket, such a shame.
