Hales used 45 balls to score just 51. Then dropped Vince, and had a few mis-fields, bet he feels as low as a snakes belly.

Yay, I can go watch another finals day, I assume we want to draw Warks, although they do have home advantage. Bet we'll get Surrey,

Ideally yes. But if the ECB don't release Buttler to play, then I would happily take Lancs.

And of course, if they do release Buttler, then presumably Woakes and Bell will be released to play for Warks. So suddenly they become a little less attractive.

Just want to avoid Surrey. Dreadful record against them outside of the Rose Bowl.

Will just be Dawson for Maxwell I guess.

Tickets are normally given to the club to sell aren't they for finals day?

We don't know for certain if Abbot will be available. It is unlikely.

SF vs Lancs then.

Assume we'll try and get Rimmington/another overseas if Abbots not available. Not that unhappy with Lancs I guess.

Very interesting. Vince says he expects Shah to be back (from the Carribean PL) for Finals Day.

It might well come down to which SF we are.

If we're the second SF, once the pitch has been played on once and become slower, we might well decide that Dawson can bowl a full four overs. And therefore if we have no Maxwell and Abbott, then Shah and Dawson replace them. God we'd bat low down!! (So in all seriousness, we might then decide to replace Wheater with Bates).

Perhaps he can stow Jerome Taylor in his luggage?

And given that Birmingham are the home team, I'd imagine it is near certain that they will be the 1st SF. Our game has two sets of fans needing to get to the ground, not just one set.

And that would be great for us. 12 overs from Briggs, Smith and Dawson.

Wins don't get much more pleasing than that, and to think we did it with Carbs and Maxwell both not 100% fit.

Vince will grab all the headlines, and rightly so, but Smith was outstanding with the ball, Carbs did his job at the top of the innings brilliantly and Slugs late cameo took all the pressure off.
