I'm wondering if Vince had the same gut feeling as me. I could see these two smashing 20+ off Smith just then had he been given a 4th.

He has to bowl his 4th at some stage though ( unless Slug takes it ), would prefer him not too bowl in the last 4.

Everytime i see Coles play this year, he goes the distance..does he do any better in the 4 day stuff?

Briggs has never been this expensive for us in a T20.

The difference right now is solely Briggs' overs. If you take off 15 - 20 runs and add on 2 - 3 wickets (ie if Briggs produced his usual 4 over figures), and we'd be in a reasonable position right now.

Unless the top 4 do a sensational job, I think it's safe to say that Coles wont be batting down at no.8.
