Carbs gone for 12, and we are in trouble.

We shouldn't lose it from here. Increases the nervous tension a tadge but no more.

We can always rely on Balcombe and Tomlinson to bat out at least a session!

Now the tension is rising a bit. At least it makes the game more interesting. I suppose we're effectively 22/3 with Gatting likely to get out second ball.

I suppose the simple truth is that if we lose this match (calls for Carbs' return to England have gone very quiet in recent weeks but Boycott during the Sri Lanka series felt he had done nothing wrong & should still be considered), we don't deserve to go up. CC2 is a POOR division & the way Derbys & Northants have struggled after promotion must bear this out. We are kidding ourselves about the strength of Hants if (1) we lose this match to Glos -despite Benks' positive comments after Day 1 & (2) we fail to go up with Worcs.

we have signed seamer Nathan Rimmington for the rest of the T20s, I've never heard of him.

Worcs aren't guaranteed to go up CC, they lose Ajmal now.

A mystery seamer! I've never heard of him either.

True, but my forecast that at least 5 wins were necessary has been met by Worcs already!

Not exactly a spring chicken and his last T20 match was in January where he had seemingly ordinary figures. Not the most inspiring of overseas signings but I guess there is sod all available.

Nathan Rimmingto is an Aussie who is 32 in November & has played the "massive" number of 22 FC matches! Not going to be around long enough for a benefit season!

Fifty up, still 8 wickets in the locker (seven and a half anyway).

Nearly tea and we're over half way to safety. With seven wickets in hand a draw shouldn't be a problem from here even with Gatting at the crease.

The walking wicket gets himself out just before tea which doesn't change a thing as I rate Tomlinson's batting capabilities in this situation far higher than his.
