What the hell, stumped and bowled by the same player, thats one hell of an achievement.

Zaidi must have one hell of a follow through in his delivery stride, will have to see highlights of this.

Been changed to stumped by Brown, bitterly disappointed.

There's some old wartime tunnels dotted around Hove and the rest of the Sussex coast.

Back to back 50s, batting with Wilson seems to bring the best out of him.

5 wickets for Mitch Claydon against Leicestershire and now he's 62 not out-career best score.

Out for 77, Tremlett got a best of 90 a fortnight ago, Tomlinson got a best of 51 this morning and now Claydon, bowlers must be working on batting more than ever nowadays

Durham 20 for 0.

Give us an excuse to boast how good the Yorkshire team is, that even a recent England bowler wouldn't get a look in.

Not at all. Merely an acknowledgement, genuinely felt, of the terrific work yorks did with Plunkett. The lad couldn't even let go of the ball when he left us, his head was so messed up. I know that Yorks wouldn't want Monty, and DL would want him even less, but somebody from Essex needs to be talking to whoever it was helped Plunkett, and turned him back into a test quality bowler.

Fair enough, DF. I doubt Yorkshire did that much with Plunkett, though. They wouldn't hold much with all the counselling nonsense that Essex and other southern counties may think important. They just gave him a chance, based upon past promise, and he took it.

Chucking it down in Leeds.

Wonder if anyone has got caught behind and hit their own stumps at the same time in a match?

Dressing room may have a lot to do with it. First thing the new signings (Starc, Miller, Hodd, Brooks, Williamson, Finch) mention is how quickly they have settled in. Then there is the top class coaching staff in Gillespie, Moxon and (formerly) Farbrace.

If Monty still has England aspirations, he really needs to leave Essex and play for a Division One team without a frontline spin bowler, that team is Notts.#

Hopefully Essex have the decency to persist with Tom Craddock, who is the real deal when it comes to spin bowling.

They seem to prefer Phillips, anyway, Brad Taylors better than Craddock.

Gary Wilson declared Surrey's innings closed yesterday despite him being 97 not out at the time.

Very unselfish act.

If Surrey move up to second in the table and/or pip Hants to a promotion slot it'll be one of the decisions of the season.
