Lashing it down here, so don't be surprised if it reaches the Rose Bowl in about 20 mins (I'm not there today, as Federer takes priority).

Wood 1 wicket for 4 off 2overs;Abbott no wicket for 28 off 2overs.
Smith's bowled his 4 for 25 runs altogether.
The heavy rain has stopped in this part of Dorset but thunder sounds pretty ominous - so bad we've had to take the aerial out & will have to watch Wimbledon (& yawn yet another Federer win) by another means such as online.

Almost 20 mins to the dot.

Don't worry, it's all clear here now.

Good to hear it's clear now so hopefully the delay at the Ageas Bowl won't be too long. Surprised that Somerset chose to bat with rain around & delays/stoppages likely.
The thunder in Dorset soon passed over but the light is dreadful - more like the same time in November! - & the rain has returned with a steady drizzle.

Somerset again showing how reliant they are on Kieswetter and Trego.

No Buttler, No Pollard, Trescothick pretty much past it.

Somerset 155-4 off the full 20 in the end.
Let's hope for a steady start of 40-0 or 50-1 rather than a crash, bang,wicket one of 60-3 or 4 off 6!

40-0 is off the menu now! Vince has certainly lost form in recent games. :Nooooo

Glamorgan bowled out fairly cheaply against Surrey in the CC isn't good.

Oh for some good news - a Maxwell 50 or 80 with loads of sixes will do!

KP out for 10 was yesterday's good news! I doubt that Cook was sorry to hear about Warne's hand especially after all the criticism he received & tehn it turned out that Warne had barely been at the game1
Now Strauss has got into hot water calling KP something he shouldn't while on Sky yesterday - I've just read his latest autobiography from the library & Strauss comes over as a pretty calm & self-assured guy so KP can certainly rub people up the wrong way!

Now Hants have lost another wicket - souldn't they just play calm & steady at the beginning???

We're really in the *******! 33-3 now so that 60-3 is looking a bit distant. Our T20 form looks a lot better in the table than in reality.

I have zero issue with us playing this "go hard" strategy at the top of the order - but only when Wheater is playing.

Playing Bates ahead of him, and hence extending the tail, is totally contradictory to a "go hard" strategy. Powerplay isn't even over yet, and already Wood is the next man in.

Hell, he's in now!

So who do we fancy meeting in the Northern section when we play our quarter final away?
