Seeing whether Briggs and Tomlinson can avoid the follow is about the most exciting thing that has happened in the match so far.

Should be allowed to shake hands a session early. Dire stuff.

Follow-on saved! :dance :party :pint

Not a good advert for CC - however, the poor weather meant Surrey batted on 3 days & gambled on bowling Hants out twice in about 5 sessions.

Slug's not the only player finding it hard to get a ton this season for Hants. McManus managed 2 (two) in a match but they've been declared non-FC - I wonder if he, Terry or a couple of the other young guns will get a chance this season in the first team.
Surrey only have themselves to blame - they should not have batted on so long - it would have made a smaller follow-on target for Hants but that could have led to a four innings match with some clever captaincy or inspired bowling. Surrey needed the win the most.

50 partnership, these 2 should of been in earlier, may have got some more batting points, going at over 4 an over.

This is now the 3rd biggest partnership of the innings, behind Smith/Adams and Smith/Ervine, and only 10 runs off moving into 2nd

All out for about 105! Ajmal takes 7 for 34 - how most counties would like someone like this to bowl sides out on hot dry wickets.
Worcs back on top by quite a few points - they were 10 behind before their latest cache!

The Carribean PL starts on 11 July. Ajmal will be playing for Antigua, who play on the opening day. The final is on 16 August (with Antigua last group game being 9 August).

Ajmal will therefore miss Worcs' CC matches at home to Leicester and away to Gloucs. If Antigua make the final, we will also miss their home game against Gloucs. In addition to that he'll miss the end of the t20 group stage, and the vast majority of Worcs one day matches. The latter very much impacts on us, as Worcs are in our group. Our match against them (you only play each other once) is down here on 11 August. So it looks likely that he'll miss that one.

They're also going to be without Moeen for most of the summer.

Other players who will feature in the CPL who are currently playing in the t20 over here are KP, Sammy, Kevin O'Brien and Shaoib Malik. Oh, and our very own (well, not any more) Neil McKenzie.

Thanks for everything Pothas. You'll be missed. My nickname for you was apt and I will never forget it. For the last time, arise Sir Nic.
