No ball hit for 6.

No balls are worth 2 runs in county cricket. Have been for years.

Didn't know that, just thought it was in the one dayers. Never understand how a spinner can bowl a no ball.

Away from this game, Cork's son Greg is making his Derby debut on Sky very shortly.

Coles going for plenty and the spinners getting a bit of a whack. Still could help our chances of getting maximum bowling points.

I'd pretty much written off the chances of winning after day one. Its all about bonus points and securing a draw from here.

Rain. If it takes time out the game it won't be too disastrous.

Go back maybe three years and he really looked like the next big thing. But I bit like the likes of Hales, he seemed to stop caring on the four day stuff. But unlike Hales, Roy also then lost his limited overs form too.

He's got them both back this season.

I also don't think it helped that Surrey and Chris Adams did such a U-turn after they got promoted, and suddenly from building a fresh, young team, they turned to Solanki, Mahmood, Lewis, De Bruyn, Smith, Ponting. Since then the likes of Meaker and Davies haven't really done much either, not just Roy.

And then there was Tom Maynard's death too, who I believe Roy was very close to.

Raining again.

Shame in some ways that this isn't three or four games later into the season. Right now, you'd assume that all we need to do is avoid the follow-on, and the draw we be secured. But had this been Surrey's 14th or 15th game, rather than their 11th, they almost certainly would have had to leave us something favourable to chase were we to avoid the follow-on - so rather than us getting a draw by avoiding it, they'd have been a strong chance of us winning by avoiding it.
