FIFA World Cup group stages

The beautiful game!

WOW!!!!!!! WHAT A MATCH! Only next to Netherlands vs Australia IMO. And that second half was easily the best half in this World Cup. What an epic World Cup this is turning out to be! After the Jabulani ball nonsense in South Africa, this is so refreshing.

One of the best football matches I can remember..... Why the Ghana midfielder held the ball up when he was 3 on 2 at the end is beyond belief.

Feel sorry for Ghana, I think they are gone, but both games they deserved more..... that game would have taken quite a lot out of both teams.

Because hes 36, and 90mins in Brazil will probably kill him.

Probably right.

Night... Can't be bothered to staye awake at 3.30 in the morning for a Bosnia-Nigeria match. Highlights tomorrow. Bye all!

Another day and another 3 matches. :clap

USA will have it a lot tougher against Portugal and Ronaldo and to get a point would be awesome. It's been a funny old world cup so you never know.

Pretty boring match. Belgium score a last gasp winner to win 1-0. Playing nowhere near expectations.

Remember the match that forced FIFA to schedule the final group matches to kick-off concurrently?

West Germany v Austria 1982, probably the biggest carve up of all time!

At least Sweden and Denmark played some football on their way to the 2-2 draw that knocked out Italy in 2004.

I watched the Germany Ghana game on the re-run thing.

Excellent second half.

I think one of the reasons that helped make it such a good game, was that both teams tried to beat the other by just playing football.

No play acting, no kicking lumps out of each other, no mucking around trying to disrupt the other teams rhythm, just two teams going toe to toe and may the best team win

It's been so long since I've a seen a footy match played in such a spirit, I'd forgotten what it was like.

No South/Central American teams involved............................. naturally!
