Interesting, and no one wants to blame Hodgsen. :facepalm

At the start of the game yesterday Roy was biting his finger nails. I thought to my self, wow if I were a player or a fan and saw that I would be concerned.

Costa Rica deserved that goal...I haven't seen the replay yet, but I'm sure they should've got a penalty for what happened to Joel Campbell.

Moments after Costa Rica had a stonewall penalty turned down, they take the lead through Brian Ruiz. Amazing cross to set up the header.

In a way, good that Cost Rica are putting us out of our misery. Would've been painful to be knocked out 5 days later after giving some misleading hope.

Wonder what excuses Sussex has for that.

Costa Rica, by all accounts, the weakest team on paper in this group have beaten both the supposedly 'world class' sides who were too good for England despite England apparently playing well.. You just couldn't make it up...

Great, isn't it? Back when I used to work as a sports journalist in the Caribbean in the 1990s, you used to hear so making disparaging comments being made about CONCACAF, and not without reason....

But that's what makes CONCACAF's performances so much more enjoyable.

And back then I was always a fan of Costa Rica, because they always played with a conviction that they were one of the better teams in the region. Even though these victories often came at the expense of Jamaica....

I noticed both Jamaica and Costa Rica beat the USA in qualification rounds.
