I was rooting for the Aussies. Pity that they got mugged at the end. For 10 or 15 mins it looked certain that they would find an equaliser

Chiles defence does not look crash hot. One can see Holland tearing them apart. Spain would still be my favourites to go through second beating Chile and Australia.

As it was warm I was doing some evening gardening but looking through the living room window I had half an eye on the Spain match.

I didn't quite get as much done as I'd hoped as every five minutes I had to rush in, rewind Sky back a bit as I'd missed a goal...and another...and another...etc.

I'm not sure what Australia fans expect from this World Cup since they are in the toughest group. If it was 100 percent pride and commitment they wanted, with a fighting spirit, then I'd suggest the majority will be fairly satisfied.

Australia gave a good account last night, much better than i expected, especially after the first 15 minutes. THat was our best chance for a point, and atleast we have scored a goal. They gave a good account of them selves

Judging from spains defence against the Dutch, we might even nick a goal there:-)

Chile are shocking at the back, they will need to improve there. Costa could tear apart a team that has Jara as a CB.
