Same, 32 overs left, need to bat about 20 of them.

We are safe, shame we didn't bat like this in the 1st innings, could of had max batting points.

It sometimes works out this way with first and second innings. They must have worked out a plan to play Ajmal, learned from their mistakes of the first innings and left him wicketless for the day.

A great result for me, I'm as chuffed as I was at any of our three wins.

Worcs have gone ahead of us in the league table even though we are both on the same number of points, same number of wins and same number of bonus points?

Think it's based on batting bonus points followed by bowling points but not sure. Good hold up by us given how Ajmal did in the first innings however. Doubt Briggs will play on Friday, especially with the game being away?

I was thinking it must be that, because there isn't any other obvious reason. Must be the second tiebreaker after points and wins are level.

Actually i've just found the following.

Where two or more sides have the same number of total points, the order of these teams in the table is decided by applying the following tie-breakers:

• Most wins.

• If still level, fewest losses.

• If still level, team achieving most points in the matches between the teams level on points.

• If still level, most wickets taken.

• If still level, most runs scored

So it looks like its most points achieved in games between the two sides.

Still unbeaten, I'll take that.

Well done Carbs and Maxwell in particular, Slug did well to see him over the line.

Great last day. I guess we'll never know if we'd have faired better sticking with Abbott, but I certainly can't argue against Maxwell's contribution.

I said two games ago that I'd happily accept one win and three draws from our next four. Well that's two out of two draws now, vs Derby and Worcs. Essex at home and Surrey away are those other two. In my mind the fixture list gives us a relatively straight forward run-in after that, with Worcs, Derby and Surrey all then out of the way.

I guess that Essex game takes on slightly more importance for some of our guys, as I believe it will possibly be our last four day without Dawson. Quite who would make way for him, when everyone is available (excluding Maxwell or Abbott not being allowed to play), I'm not sure. I think it would harsh to drop Briggs (who has come in because of Daws' injury), even though he did disappoint this week. And besides, we are now in mid June. Spin should only increase in effectiveness from here on in.

I think the simple answer is, Daws doesn't play.

Adams,Carbs,Smith,Vince,Maxwell,Wheater,Ervine is one hell of a top 7.
