No, its just another "bad shot" day where 17 wickets fell.... they have a lot of those in Bristol, much more than anywhere else...

Some might say enough to identify a pattern... but not the pitch inspectors, no. If a batter gets a length ball round his ears, its just a bad shot.

I must say I find it depressing to see Ajmal taking wickets in our CC. The ICC ruling is a chucker's charter that prevents umpires from doing their job. Spot fixing is terrible but probably hasn't change the course of any game in the way that chuckers have done.

It avoided a schism in world cricket at the time of the Muralitharan fiasco though, and putting expedience before ethics saved them their phoney-baloney jobs.

yeah, because someone with a slightly dodgy action but playing to the best of their ability is so much worse than having guys deliberately under performing, grow up.

Telling people to grow up seems to be a standard expression from you. The fact is that chucking and spot fixing are two ways of cheating one of which is obvious to the naked eye and could be dealt with, the other hidden and difficult to detect.

So you would say that a guy who takes steroids in athletics and wins plenty of gold medals is much better than a guy who once agreed to get paid 3 times his annual wage to run over 10 seconds?

I have no doubt about Ajmal, he looks like a chucker, cant really see the difference between the two...
