Wheater has had a solid start to the season, and has raced onto 40 here off 36 balls.

Incredible that we picked Gatting ahead of him on Friday night.

2 of his 4s have been edged, 1 was all run due to poor fielding, he has hit 1 straight in the air that the fielder just missed and now hes been dropped.

Its great hes scoring runs and fast, and some shots have sounded terrific, but hes had more than his fair share of luck here.

I'm listening to the radio, so know where you're coming from. And it's not like I'm comparing Wheater to Chris Gayle.

But we picked Gatting ahead of him. Gatting.

Like I said, I doubt hes 100%, hes probably a little while away from being able to keep anyway ( although im more than happy for Bates to remain as a WK with Wheater batting ), but I thought the reason Wheater left Essex was because he wanted to keep, same as Buttler left Somerset.
