If the rain breaks at Hove are short enough to allow a decent amount of play, it could be advantageous for Sussex because there's always a good chance of wickets going down when batsmen keep having to restart their innings.
Of course any lengthy delays will be good for Durham.

At least Warks have the good sense to end it quickly instead of a long lingering death. Bell's love of playing for Warwickshire is surely being tested at present. By the time he gets another chance to play for us we could be in Division 2.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

How far back do we go to look for potential champions?

32 championships since 1867?

Think it's an early tea because of more rain. Would have been taken at 4.10, still foolish to have a scheduled break planned after less than an hours play following the previous delay.

84/7 then stopped for bad light. Could have been over now if the spinners had been allowed to bowl in the murk. It's ridiculous that they can't.

Fans waited 6 hours for play, get 8 balls and 2 runs and they are off for bad light.

Sensational win by Yorkshire, just 13 minutes required to take the remaining 3 wickets.

A third unconverted fifty of his season. Got a lot of catching up to do to get past Ballance - he'll be hoping that if Stokes isn't fit, they go for a specialist batsman. And even then Morgan may already be promised a place.
