I remember, with great annoyance, just how brilliant Shane Bond looked the only time we had the misfortune to come into contact with him. He took something like 7/50 against us about 6 years ago.... :angry

I wish I hadn't drove to the Rose Bowl that day... it rained from the sky as Shane Bond rained wickets.

I was there, remember it like it was yesterday, took 7-66, his spell with the 2nd new ball is the best bowling I have ever seen.

Will McManus open in his place for the 2 CC games?

Possibly, always the chance that Daws will open, Smith to 3 and Wheater in at 5 and Bates keeps the gloves. Thats IF Gatting keeps his place.

Guy was a top bowler. Such a shame he could never get passed his injuries because he had all the skills in the world. Not many people bowl that fast with any accuracy, and sure he sometime got expensive, but for pure striking ability I don't think anyone in recent memory was better.

Surprised he only took that many wickets, I thought you had got the whole year out of him that season.

Forgot Dawson can open, but i'd like to see McManus intead of Gitting at 6 even if he doesn't open.

He was only signed for the first few weeks as we were lead to believe Warne was returning after the IPL, I think Bond played 4 games, a few rain affected and he got an injury ( he sat out the Taunton game when Tommo took 8-46 )

Warne was supposed to come back and decided after the IPL and after Bond had left that he didn't want too, which led us to panic sign Imran Tahir who basically kept us up single handedly that year.

Bond did spend his time working with Tremlett though, and putting the finishing touches on what Stuart Clark had started the year before in re-modelling his run up and action.

Yep Billy is proving to be a pain in the ass again. Still Glamorgan scoring pretty freely so we should be able to chase a fair target tomorrow.

Coles going for a few here, could do with him chipping in like he did in the first innings, but I guess he'll be taken off now.
