It seems that in order to beat Middlesex, just get passed the openers and the rest cant wait to get back to have a shower.

Great win for Warwickshire as they bowled out Middlesex and win by 47 runs on day 3. By all accounts on a pitch made for batting.

Hard to generate pace on such a sluggish pitch, even Jacky Brooks is not bowling as fast as he's done against Northants.

Yes, Plunkett apart, pace through the air was down for all our pace bowlers today. This would have had something to do with fatigue and the prospect of bowling a long time but also, on the sort of pitch we saw today, the lack of reward that anything less than express pace brings.

Still, it's a week before. They should play.

Warks are missing a lot of players at present:
Boyd Rankin (rested?), Ian Bell (England), Jonathan Trott (Injured), Chris Woakes (England), Rikki Clarke (Injured), William Porterfield (Ireland), Freddie Coleman (Injured?) and Jim Troughton (Injured?).
