Another farcical bad light situation at Old Trafford.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

It was stupid of Warwickshire to think all 32 overs would be bowled.

That's a STUPID remark considering that Bell and others gifted Lancs easy wickets knowing full well the light was fading.

Batted for 24 overs, 21 of which came AFTER a light delay, and didn't manage to get the runrate above 4.

Sounded like there was a bit of turn that Naik was exploiting]

Northeast getting a golden duck after a 3rd ball duck last week might be an issue.

Fabian Cowdrey is too good a batsman to leave out, he has to get in to the team some how. Northeast is the weak link (average last year, terrible start now) so i'd take him out. We already have a very experienced 2nd XI with Jones and Tredwell!

You need to find a way to get Griff in the team too, he won't let anyone down, I'd rate him much higher than Robbie Joseph

Sad as I seen northeast as a youngster and he looked a real find. Does nt seem to have come on at all. Reminds me of usman khawaja, solid in most areas but questionable at times in defence.

Still Bell-Drummond is starting to play a few knocks, and what's more they are gritty and responsible from all accounts. Could be a possible test player in a few years, and Bollinger will win you a match or two.

As for the championship, Yorkshire made a huge statement this match. I think even without root, they should walk this year with their team. Can't see Bairstow being away, neither do I think moores will pick ballance first up, so their batting is enough to keep teams awake at night.

Durham look one batter short to challenge, Sussex at least another bowler, Middlesex need another middle order batter...

At this point Lancashire and northants look poor... Somerset and Warwickshire are unknown quality at the minute because both have some solid names on their team sheets.

We should be fine. There need to be perhaps one or two changes to the side made, getting Brown into the batting and the return of Hogg will help get those extra runs on the board.

I don't. The problem with Joseph has always been about fitness, never ability.

Regarding Northeast. I'd be surprised if he's even playing professional cricket in a few years' time. Baffling as to how he's been made vice-captain, but that's Kent for you.

Can Kent be blamed for his lack of development though? He was a hot talent, something, somewhere, went wrong
