Rikki Clarke now has a broken finger to add to Warks woes, another to add to the injury list.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

I have no idea why he was made captain, woulda thought Rikki Clarke or Chopra would of been a much better option.

If Bell's available he always captains if Troughton is injured. In the field he showed why. He kept pressure on Sussex and the fightback started on Sunday according to the BBC commentators.
Majority of captains made the same decision batting first (including Essex). Sunny weather? Jordan bowled exceptionally well. He proved in Australia he can take early wickets when on target. He's a find.

Pity about Rikki Clarke. He played a blinder as well (as Bell). Sussex still in front. But if Warks press on, the pressure might tell. Bell's innings was exceptional but he's done it before for his County.

I have Warwickshire slightly ahead. I wouldn't want to chase 300 plus on an April pitch that someone has already been outed for 87 on....

Sad really, but this is Sussex's weakness shining through. Anyon bowled like a drain as usual, and is Zaidi a good enough player at this level to take lots with the ball?

I think that is far from true, we are almost totally reliant on Bell and Patel going on in order to set a challenging total. With Sussex once again having the advantage of bowling in the early morning conditions it's a tall order.

Losing Clarke as a bowler and his talent in the slip cordon is big blow as well.

How much would you consider a challenging total on this pitch? 350?

I have Warks as clear favourites. These two look like they are going to bat for a long while yet.

Poor Rikki, that's bad luck especially at the start of the season.
