Leg-side delivery from Pudsey? Can't believe that!

Indeed! Normally so accurate :lmao

@CWatersYPSport: England's Jonny Bairstow out for 6 weeks after breaking his left ring finger during Yorkshire's three-day practice match at Northants.

Bairstow should be fit for the 1st Sri Lanka test as it starts in June, sadly for the lad he has only 3 CC matches at best to make an impression.

Well he can only be bowled through the gate 6 times, and drop a realistic maximum of 13 catches..... I would say that a bonus for him

The bbc website has given 5 points for a draw. I thought it had increased from 3 to 4 not 3 to 5?

On cricinfo they still show 3 points for a draw and some complicated way in which a team batting in the 4th innings can get 8 points.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Now I see they've changed it to 5 points.

It seems like the season has started... and there are no cricket stories anywhere. In fact, if it wasn't for interviews with KP, or with people who have shared a dressing room with KP, cricket would have no profile at all. The top stories on cricinfo and the Guardian haven't changed for two days.

I seem to remember it being a bit like that last year as well. Maybe because of the other national sports having their major leagues coming to a conclusion?

It's more than that - they need to get the publicity engine whirring for the start of the cricket season and they just don't do it. They used to have all the papers doing season previews for the different counties but now no-one does any of it so it's just fading. Very sad really - it needs better marketing.

Someone should have been doing that for a while now. It's hard to believe that Prior played for so long and was dropped only relatively recently.

I read somewhere that Yorkshire were favourites for this year's County Championship. We're stuffed then.
