I expected a bidding war over Carbs, Finn and Williamson, if I had of known no-one else wanted them I would of saved cash, also stupidly wasted 50k on Geraint Jones.

I went low on players and tried to sneak those that didn't go for over value, but that meant I ended up paying 160k for Siddle (my main target) and losing out on a huge amount of other players. I think going high on your main targets would be the way I went this time.

Some scoring rules would be nice, ian. I need to start thinking about team selection strategy.... I think powelly is seeing this as some kind of rematch for 2007.

This is a scoring sheet for a game between Truemans Trundlers versus Boycotts Bashers. The squad lists shown are their actual players for this season, listed in value order. The runs and wickets are taken from the last round of 2013 LVCC games. For new players this year (and a reminder for others) hopefully it will give an idea of how things work.

Matchweek XIs will comprise of the first eleven players (from top to bottom) who play any part in their counties game that week. Those that do no play are rather boringly denoted as DNP.

Team scores are calculated by dividing the number of runs your eleven players make between them by the number of wickets taken by your opposition. This will give you your Runs per Wicket (RPW) total.

Wickets taken by bowlers count as one, with dismissals taken by wicket-keepers counting as half.) The team with the highest RPW total will win the match and take the 16 points. If the totals are level (highly unlikely unless it is nil-nil after a washout) the match will be drawn and teams will take 3 points each, with 8 bonus points added, to give a Matchweek total of 11.

From the example you will see that the Trundlers wickets taken total is 9.5 made up by 3 wickets for the bowlers and 13 dismissals (6.5 points) for the wicket keepers.

Bonus points have been introduced this year.
Teams that win matches will be able to take their weekly points total up to a maximum of 24 points with an emphatic victory. The bonus points gained will be earned according to the margin of victory:

8 points will be earned for RPW over 1000% greater than your opponent.
7 points will be earned for RPW over 500% greater than your opponent.
6 points will be earned for RPW over 200% greater than your opponent.
5 points will be earned for RPW over 100% greater than your opponent.
4 points will be earned for RPW over 50% greater than your opponent.
3 points will be earned for RPW over 20% greater than your opponent.
2 points will be earned for RPW over 10% greater than your opponent.
1 points will be earned for RPW over 5% greater than your opponent.

From the example you will see that the Bashers won by a margin of 1.33, so were awarded 5 win bonus points for having a RPW over 100% better than the Trundlers.

Also, teams that are defeated in matches will be awarded losing bonus points dependent on their margin of defeat. The bonus points gained will be awarded according to the margin of victory:

1 points will be awarded for RPW less than 1000% worse than your opponent.
2 points will be awarded for RPW less than 500% worse than your opponent.
3 points will be awarded for RPW less than 200% worse than your opponent.
4 points will be awarded for RPW less than 100% worse than your opponent.
5 points will be awarded for RPW less than 50% worse than your opponent.
6 points will be awarded for RPW less than 20% worse than your opponent.
7 points will be awarded for RPW less than 10% worse than your opponent.
8 points will be awarded for RPW less than 5% worse than your opponent.

From the example you will see that the Trundlers lost by a margin of 0.75, so were awarded 4 losing bonus points for having a RPW less than 100% worse than the Bashers.

The Bashers therefore won the match by 21 points (16 + 5) to 4 (0 + 4)

Over the course of the 18 Matchweek season the team with the most points overall will win CFM 2014.

where does the money come from for transfer windows?

same with Jackson Bird, and probably others I would imagine. Ian did this from the list so i guess it is just the luck of the draw. I have no iddea who some of the players are that i have got so don't know if this is an issue for me or not, but either way there is the option of transfers in a few weeks
