Actually, KP left Hants because he was Omitted from the T20 finals day squad, because the Hampshire players and coaches didn't want him playing.

1. He had already said in June that the birth of his son would prevent him from playing more for Hampshire, this came after a statement in a T20 match he played in.
2. It was already established that he could only realistically play in county cricket in London due to his family situation with a new born, and hence he told Hampshire he would not extend his contract.
3. Surrey had all but signed him by then.
4. The T20 finals day was in the middle of two summer test matches.
5. Even though others played, KP would eventually be rested for the T20 internationals and ODI series as he was tired.... another reason he wouldnt have played in the game.
6. He didnt appear to leave Hampshire on bad terms.

Can I see some evidence of statements made by the club or players that they didnt want him playing?

He actually said he lived in Chelsea not London. Another example of his arrogant, i'm a cut above the rest attitude.

In my eyes he was never really a Hampshire player, only played once or twice a year over the six years he was supposedly with us. Understood this was always going to be the case when he came over from Notts having just hit it really big with England.

He played a series in BD, then a series in South Africa over the winter, after the Ashes Series in 2009 and the debacle of the Moores incident playing out at the start of that season..... in 2010 they then went to the carribbean to play the T20 tournament, came back straight into a test series vs Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and had a baby..... the squad then jetted out after to the Ashes series, and after that a world cup in India.....

That all depends on whether you think that anything Morgan says is worth listening to.

Not usually, but his "so sue me if I am not telling the truth", considering the background of the accusation, does make me think that what he is saying is at least generally true. Prior himself defended himself as to the tone or understanding of what was said, and didnt seem to deny it.

Any action would hinge upon the word of Pietersen, who presumably went crying to Morgan again, against the word of Prior and it would be a very trivial action, trickily based upon context and interpretation, not deemed worthwhile by anyone, and the kind that even Morgan would know would be very unlikely when he invited it. His words, therefore, should impress nobody.

Any road up, Morgan may soon be facing a rather more serious date with their lordships.
