Who is vc?

I know Willis was on about KP's fielding position, and that he should be nearer Cook, in the circle, to give advice, if needed.

Usually Prior. Bell took over when Prior was dropped. I'm sure Swann would have been influential on the pitch. Of the players left, KP gives the impression of being best thinker, in my opinion, including Cook. Broad and Anderson figure usually in onfield discussion.

It's true that KP doesn't seem to have a voice on the pitch. Root singled out Kevin as being helpful to young players, something Butcher reiterated on tv about him at Surrey, so maybe KP is more influential off the pitch.

last year Durham played 11 of their matches in April, May, and Sept. 12 if you include the match that started in August but finished in Sept. Ridiculous!

Interestingly all of the BBC staff kept Borthwick in the side, I suspect this is down to the old, "We need a Warne" syndrome and the fact he's a pretty decent bat. Test cricket is not the place for players to learn their game.

It was of course vaugely amusing to see Mills sudenly the flavour of the month, "What's that, Jack? A left arm quick just blew us away? Well we better get one ourselves sharpish". This unfortunately ignores the fact that Mills, amusingly half those suggesting him can't even get his first name right, is not exactly blowing away LVCC batsmen, let alone international class batsmen.

The spinner is a right old pain in the arse, has to be Kerri or Monty.

I'm beginning to think I was wrong to disagree with Splinters' views on Flower's player management.

Hard to even see why Essex pick Mills... he takes nearly a wicket per innings(ie hardly ever bowls) and has a top score of 20 in 18 matches.... Simply incredible that he was picked for an England endorsed squad.

The selection of Tymal Mills is that he's the England equivalent of Mitchell Johnson, i.e. Left handed and bowls at or above 90mph.

Who's next after Briggs and Kerrigan? Rafiq?

He's apparently on standby for the SL tour.

So yes, Ollie Raynor.

Raynor? Christ things must be grim. He's had a decent season last year, but you'd have to go back a few years before you'd see anything similar.

A total turd spinner who puts no revs on the ball and is 6ft 5ins? Ashley Giles only retired a few years ago, not been that long.

In all seriousness he is not even capable OD bowler in county cricket, national team mentions are for people who solely base things on statistics. When he was at Sussex Yards or Ads would be scared to give him more than a few overs.

Having almost conceded the ODI series following Ashes whitewash, it is high time the selection policy of resting first choice players is given a break.Field the best 11.
