All players runs will be counted.
Only designated WKs dismissals will score points.
Only designated ARs and Bowlers wickets will count.
That way everyone should be able to field a team, in one of the formations, that suits.
If, for example, you want to play an additional WK as a batsman, just make sure you notify which of the 2 is the designated wicket-keeper.
Sorry if that is a bit ad hoc and doesn't suit everyone, but we can have a look at how things work during the first half of the season and make any changes after Matchweek 9.

do we have the option of releasing players for the base price and repacing them with other players not yet picked for their base price?
All managers can release up to 2 players every Friday and bid on 2 free agents every Sunday. If 2 managers want the same player then the team lower in the league table will be allocated the player.

Can I replace him with Sam Robson of Middx and bank the 20k difference, so that should give me 50k to spend next week.

If I swap Cook for Rogers (they are both 80k so should even out), and can play AR and WK as batters or bowlers then I might get close to having a team
I would have swapped Rankin as well for Swann but he is not playing either

That doesn't sound right - if a batter takes a wicket it is not counted but if a bowler scores a 100 runs then it is???

I think Napier is playing so I'll swap Napier for Swann
