Rogers is but Meakers isn't. I don't mind doing Cook for Rogers but I don't mind swapping a different bowler or All Rounder that I'm not using for Swann.

Jeez.... this is very confusing. Excellent work, Ian. :clap

Glad I'm not a part as I have not understood anything.

Scoring wise I don't think it will make any difference who you pick as long as it is eleven players:

All players runs will be counted.
Only designated WKs dismissals will score points.
Only designated ARs and Bowlers wickets will count.

That way everyone should be able to field a team, in one of the formations, that suits.

If, for example, you want to play an additional WK as a batsman, just make sure you notify which of the 2 is the designated wicket-keeper.

Sorry if that is a bit ad hoc and doesn't suit everyone, but we can have a look at how things work during the first half of the season and make any changes after Matchweek 9.

What if the designated wicketkeeper actually plays as a specialist batsman and takes catches in the outfield? Will those be counted?

hmm - Ian - Glamorgan's website says that van Jaarsveld is only playing T20 cricket so it looks like that's another player who won't be playing

Can I replace him with Sam Robson of Middx and bank the 20k difference, so that should give me 50k to spend next week.

do we have the option of releasing players for the base price and repacing them with other players not yet picked for their base price?

All managers can release up to 2 players every Friday and bid on 2 free agents every Sunday. If 2 managers want the same player then the team lower in the league table will be allocated the player.

RD

The valuation price of players really doesn't matter from here on in. You can release a player worth £80K and bid on one valued at £20K, or visa versa.

I don't have a problem with that, along as none of the other players object.

The original plan was to include all runs scored by bowlers plus all wickets taken by batsmen. However, as the make-up of some squads made picking all types of player in the correct position difficult, something had to give!

We will run on this basis for the first 9 matches, then have a rethink at half-time....

The same as will all things new there is a bit of trial and error involved, and I'm sure once the matches start in will become a bit easier to administer for me and enjoyable for all taking part.

ok - if that's the approach then I need to change my team. Moeen Ali is more likely to take wickets than the ARs that I have been allocated so ...

Rogers
Robson
Collingwood (as a batter)
Foster (as a batter)

Ambrose

Adams
Wright

Anyon
Murtagh
Napier (as a bowler)
Ali (as a bowler)

Reserves

Agathangelou
Billings
Rayner
