Yuvi got rid off it because it was detected in early stages. So there's lot of hope for Greg too .

It's a pity that Brian Lara didn't play in the Pakistan all-star game.

Fixer as per Justice Qayyum's report

http://static.cricinfo.com/db/NATIONAL/ ... eport.html

5. In the 1994-95 season, the Australian team toured Pakistan and lost the Test Series 1-0. After the series, three of the Australian players, Shane Warne, Tim May and Mark Waugh accused the then Pakistani Captain, Salim Malik, of offering them bribes to bowl badly in a test and a one-day. (Pakistan had eventually won the test match by one wicket.)

In addition to recommendation of other punishments, fines are recommended against the following players as follows (as explained esrlier):

Salim Malik Rs. 10 lac

Wasim Akram Rs. 3 lac

Mushtaq Ahmad Rs. 3 lac

Ata-ur-Rehman Rs. 1 lac

Waqar Younis Rs. 1 lac

Inzamam-ul-Haq Rs. 1 lac

Akram Raza Rs. 1 lac

Saeed Anwar Rs. 1 lac

It would be wonderful if they move to Australia, seeing the Aussies run around in the ashes with Brit on their shirts would make my day.

It could be that now England are no longer number one, it's a case of rats deserting a sinking ship.

if you read the reports i think its clearly more a case of the economic situation meaning they cant afford to continue with sponsorships at that level than them wanting to distance themselves from the ECB tbh

It's undoubtably a major factor Rich, however I do think that it is a sign of the 2005 bubble starting to burst as well.

Interesting article on Cricinfo saying that England's more exacting standards on bowlers actions is holding back the development of players with suspect actions. Surely the actual point should be the ICCs methods are not upto the benchmark set by the ECB!

First time I've heard anyone criticise the UWA methodology. Might explain a few things though.

A bit odd that the article suggests that English bowlers not being allowed to throw is hampering their innovation!
