What surprises me is that I haven't seen any media comment on this. All the concentration on KP has perhaps let this slip under the radar.

To make matters even stranger he actually had one last year. You need 20 points to get a contract and Samit surely must be over that seeing as he has played more cricket than Buttler!

Interesting read Grey, unfortunately I haven't actually seen anything of KP thus far being stuck with Sky and the delights of Rob Key, Rob Croft, Colly and Tres. Having said that the joys of having Key on the sofa when they were discussing the Afghan's waist sizes was more fun than it was probably intended to be!

Samit has an incremental contract at the moment - he got it in February and it doesnt run out till the end of this month.

But it has't been renewed for the next 12 months.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Can't see that anyone has mentioned the death of Harry Pilling, member of one of county cricket's definitive limited overs sides, the Lancashire team of the seventies. Only just remember Harry, but saw more of him in games repeated in rain delays in the late seventies/early eighties. Sorry to hear of his death at the age of 69.

I saw the sad passing of Harry in the Evening News this evening, a great servant to Lancashire cricket both on and off the field.
