I think it's rather nice to congratulate people on reaching milestones. Especially when no-one has ever reached them before.

Polite as ever, Dr. DeltaAlpha :clap

15000 runs? yay! :party 100 of 100s? well, I will clap for it when I see it happen. In the mean time, I would like a little less noise on it :P

Congrats to sachin, a true great of the game, and surely now not long until he gets his 100th 100.

I wouldn't disagree with that, Indus. I seem to remember Sachin having said something along the lines of, "If you play well for your team, your personal milestones will come." With that philosophy, I doubt if he's affected by all the media hype.

Mr. CricketFan90, the media has been on this talk for a while now. When Indians were in England earlier, same type of drums were being beaten... black and blue :no

Dr. DA,

SRT himself seems to be very down-to-earth, very likable guy! People around him.... well, a whole lotta different story! Any way the cheap media can get mileage out of him!

Here is what I have been saying too. Captain Dhoni had to come out issuing a statement to leave SRT alone.

I agree with that, Indus. It's one thing to congratulate and celebrate with someone when they reach a milestone, but quite a different thing to speculate on them reaching another.

One of these days, you are gonna have to give me a reason to disagree with you, Mr. :D :D

Another news article. This time the applause goes to Sammy! What a great ambassador of the gentlemen's game, he is :clap

It's not even just the speculation. Coke Cola IIRC have created a can that will sold in millions in India for his 100th 100 and they will have pictures and numbers of his ton's. I suspect they're not alone in milking this.
