That shows how bad NZ have been recently if Martin gets player of the year! He has had one good spell all year and has somehow won the award! He is clearly past his best but obviously New Zealand don't think so.

So I noticed that there was a sort of thread on the Hong Kong sixes already and I did not want to bump it as what I want to know is not relevant to the thread, so does anyone know if it is ICC approved?! I saw some the other week on a random sports channel (must have been replays) - and thought that there could be no way that the ICC would sanction it... Does anyone know?

It would appear that it is ICC sanctioned bn.

Go for it!! It may not be a big event in the scheme of global cricket, but there are certainly plenty of top, top cricketers who have participated over the years. Akram, Warne, Lara, Silverwood to name but a few.

Does anyone think that any batsman in this modern era can reach 100 first class centuries?

Two contenders are Phil Hughes and Ajinkya Rahane as they have lots of years ahead of them but can they maintain their good FC record. I don't think they will make it because if Sachin can't then no one will.

Hughes is 22 and has 17 centuries.
Rahane is 23 and has 18 centuries.
