Haider has withdrawn his application for asylum in England. He will return to Pakistan. Is this security assurance a cover up. Is there any truth that his family was not allowed to fly out of Pakistan and hence Haider had no option but to return back to Pakistan.

It doesn't make sense to me. How can anyone guarantee his safety? Was Haider talking rubbish in the first place?

Unless he thought his application would be rejected, and hes trying to make it look like he is having it on his own terms.

I wasn't aware of that, that would certainly explain his new decision. I wouldnt be suprised if threats had been made against his family unless he returns either, Pakistan is really messed up.

Wasnt he in Abu Dhabi at the time ?? I guess in a situation like that you just panic or perhaps his family refused to leave.

Wasnt he in Abu Dhabi at the time ?? I guess in a situation like that you just panic or perhaps his family refused to leave.

Seems like he has cancelled his flight again

Pakistan's runaway wicket-keeper Zulqarnain Haider has reportedly cancelled his flight back home from London after claiming that he has received fresh threats.
Zulqarnain, who rocked Pakistan cricket last November when he deserted the national team in Abu Dhabi and fled to Britain just hours before a ODI, was planning to return to Lahore from London on Sunday but according to TV reports, he has changed his mind after “receiving threatening calls“.

He told Geo Television on Thursday that an anonymous caller from Pakistan threatened him, saying: “You are coming back despite being told not to come, you are responsible for the consequences.“
