Another fantastic innings by Sachin....
Unfortunately, the last time I saw him live was batting in the first Test at Sabina, and my abiding memory of that match is Franklyn Rose sending his stumps cartwheeling.

Its not just Warne who has dreamt about Sachin. I have seen Sachin in dreams recently scoring a ton.

In reality i saw him score 204 in Mumbai X! Vs Australia which Ranji Kings Mumbai won. I used to shadow bat like him in nets, got a heavy bat because he used one. I have to see him bat live at least once in test. Even after years of playing club cricket and a season of coaching youngsters there is so much for me to learn watching his innings. Such is the quality of his technique, temperament, shot selection, pacing the innings, and stroke play. IMO there is no way there will be a player of such caliber in the further history of the game, who can perform consistently over two decades.

I hope he doesn’t, SBA, but if he does, one thing’s for sure – it’ll be worth watching!

Well he did, and Strauss was amazing too.

Stand out performances in this match:

Bresnan, Strauss Tendulkar and Zaheer's last spell which wrenched back initiative to India.

My friend assembled Sachin's desktop in 1997. It was a Pentium 3. Sachin used it for two months and then purchased a Apple-Mac. He used that for 2 - 3 months and then decided to sell that. It was finally agreed that the Apple MAC will be sold for INR 15000. My friend requested Sachin for his autograph on it and Sachin obliged. The Laptop is not functioning anymore but the lappy is obviously the best thing he ever purchased. I will soon get a sight of Sachin's Laptop :halo: :dance

With the over usage of the word "great" to describe "flash in the pan " type players, regarding Tendulkar it almost seems inadequate....I would also summise he was lucky to be born in the sub continent,,,if he'd been English he would probably spend the first 5 or 6 years of his career slogging to be recognised and getting rubbish coaching....If he'd been born Australian he would maybe of made his debut for the Aussies mid twenties maybe...

The word "genius" is also often misused....The little master seems about right...also arent Tendulkar, Bradman and Lara roughly the same height....?????

I was once given a piece of advice from an old seasoned pro...dont bowl short and short people..they will destroy you....

I consider it an honour to have seen him in the flesh....Lords honours board is missing his name..lets hope he can rectify that ,but we win....
I was once asked how I deal with bouncers....I thought about it then replied.."smile and hope they dont throw me out of the night club"..
