Emg, im not having a pop at pakistan media and maybe i shouldnt have brought it up. But i refuse to accept why lifebans where not handed out, what more evidence do you need then watching amir over stepping so far over the line you could have parked a bus there. All this at the set times they said they would. Its cheating and it should be punished by the maximum penalty available.

Thats my opinion and no matter what evidence the defence had its proven that they did it to the extent that the CPS have charged them, something that doesnt happen lightly

There is so much pressure on Pakistani bowlers. They just cannot bowl a huge front foot no ball :lmao

Its a very interesting article and well written.

Only thing I didnt like is that it suggests that in 5 years time, he should be able to walk straight back into International cricket.

That's how judicial process works and that's why they hired experienced legal professionals to do it rather than just adopt the first one size fits all opinion that comes along.

Of course, in a relatively free society, provided we avoid defamation, we all have the right to express an opinion. The fact that many have done so is evidence of this.

Sometimes, too much deference is shown to the arguments of “experienced legal professionals”, particularly those hired by governing bodies of sports. Obviously, in any adversarial system of deciding right and wrong, no two opposing arguments will hold equal sway. One of them, therefore, always has less merit and may even be presented without sincerity.

People who saw the evidence on the pitch and heard as much of the other evidence as it was possible to do so, are entitled to their views.

Oh, there is Haider, thanks, Powelly. Well, he looks like a man with a lot he wants to say and whom no-one is asking. Is that because they don't want his info or because they don't credit it?

Its important to remember that none of us know exactly what the anti-corruption unit have done/are doing/will do, for all we know he could be in constant communication with them.

But it does appear that he has fallen off the radar, which is a shame because for some unknown reason I find myself believing that he is genuine.

Haider i think has also hinted at some Indian players in this and maybe more Pakistani players. So he should be provided every help by ACU to get rid of the match fixing malice

just seen this quote from an interview he gave just after leaving Dubai

I think 50% of people trust cricket and 50% don't,

Thats an interesting statement in itself - whilst watching the Ashes at no point did a thought of "is this genuine" cross my mind yet when Pakistan collapsed in the first ODI against New Zealand..I couldnt help but doubt the integrity of the result.

Although I guess that cricket will get alot of double guessing and questioning over the next few years especially when Pakistan are involved

Interesting comment by Haider on his FB

" Pakistan will get knocked out in the first round of worlducp. "

" it all fixed my friend. "

" I CAN NAME 10 PEOPLE WHO FIXED TEH MATCH IN PRESENCE OF AFRIDI "

Well either he is a liar or the whole cricket corruption just runs too deep.

The thing is, any of us could make the same prediction, and none of us would completely rule out the idea of Pakistan going out in the first round; unlikely, sure, but possible. That is the trouble with Pakistan, they are so erratic that any implausible result can turn up, and it is impossible to say whether it is bogus or not just by watching a match. How much was Harmison paid to bowl that wide, for instance? It looked as dodgy as Amir's no ball. I don't think he was, but you can't tell just by what happens on the pitch.

Any credibility he had will be gone if Pakistan do progress.

Not sure whether this guy is on the level or if he has some sort of agenda.
