Jonny Blameless is busy not playing in the IPL because he can't buy a run and there are few better ways of getting back into form than sitting on your @rse counting all that filthy lucre. He won't play test cricket this year

There's a part of me that sees Joe Clarke getting an England call up this summer.... although as is usual, he's hot right now and there's no test cricket for 3 months yet, so maybe it'll pass him by. Had there been a May test series, I reckon he'd have been in. He doesn't seem to care what ball he's facing, he just seems to tuck into everything atm

Good morning for Northamptonshire but batting looks harder this afternoon. Ball moving and Leicestershire bowling much better.

Good containing spell from Rehan Ahmed. No help from the pitch but accurate and the pressure picks up Luke Proctor's wicket.

Surrey reduced to 41-3 on what is presumably a tricky pitch

Durham bring up a 3rd batting point

Clarke gets a big fat blob after I bigged him up

Worcs piling the pressure on Somerset who are 6 down for 200

Middlesex all out for 203

Northants doing okay against Leics

Honest Joe and Babbling Brook going well for Yorks, but rain has stopped play

I was rather hoping Lawrence is from Belgravia, but he's from the east end.

Durham innings wrapped up in haste. OK score though.

Been a better balance between bat and ball today.

new ball did the trick. Still, it ought to give Raine and Potts an over each to try and nip Elgar out before the close

Essex make it through okay

nice to see a CC match finish at 6pm with all 96 overs bowled. Feels like a blast from the distant past

And right on cue. One for Brook as well.
