Robbo does that as well as anyone, though

He does. It seems like a bizarre decision.

well, we've declared on 397-5, an hour into play, setting a target of 458

I normally like aggressive declarations and although 450 might not seem aggressive, we had no bother at all scoring runs quickly yesterday afternoon, so if the pitch has become quite benign it gives Worcs loads of time to knock off the runs without taking any chances

Do they think there's going to be rain about tomorrow?

whatever.... we will have to bowl very well, I think, or it might come back to bite us, particularly if Libby gets going

Forecast looks poor tomorrow with showers throughout the day. 2 wickets in 2 balls for Coughlin just before lunch.

Clearly I didn't need to be so worried. 165-6

Coggers with 3 wickets again

Parky getting a bit of tap. It's a small ground for a spinner. Baker got flogged by Bedders in his race from 50 to 100. Actually, now I think about it, it was Baker who got his entire career average shredded in an afternoon by Ben Stokes a couple of years ago (might have been the last time he turned out for us in the CC)

That Worcs are not thumping the ball around, suggests that we were somewhere near our best as a batting unit yesterday, Which has to be good news

Annoying partnership - how unusual!

yes, it always happens. Still, they have to start again after tea. Plenty of runs in the bank. We presumably bowled pretty well today. In the early stages of their reply they were motoring along at 5 an over, before Coggers applied the brake

well, once we got the irritating 100 run stand out of the way, it was a comfortable win in the end

season is now up and running

I'm pleased that Parky picked up a couple late on

Excellent to win that tonight- maybe the first innings being relatively brief was a good thing if tomorrow would have been a washout. Declaration turned out to be ideally timed.
A win against the other newly promoted team could prove vital at the end of the season.

I'm not holding out much hope for that game!

I'm more hopeful for that one than I am the return fixture
