Got to think that Kent made a poor choice. It was terrific knock from Robbo. In a bit of trouble dealing with vdG early in his innings, but once he got going he was fluent and aggressive. After 22 balls he had 3 runs. Fifty balls later he was on 75

Superb work from Cooke to get him out stumped off a leg side delivery. He was standing up to Gorvin who looked quicker than that

Bedders was in control throughout (I arrived at lunch with him on 13). Unflustered, unhurried, no false shots, middled everything. He gave Glamorgan nothing at all to work with. Excellent century

It occurred to me, after our conversation earlier, that the reason Bedders may have been less than pleased about missing the dribble, might have been the hundred. I don't know if he has a franchise, but certainly a couple of years ago he got himself a late gig as a lucky loser T20 wild card pick. Was it the final he came in for?
