In Robinson we trust

Speaking of Robinson.... where's Stan? surely we didn't drop him for 3-0-38-0?

we keep losing wickets to the first ball of a new bowler's over

Still in the PP and we're relying on de Loose to step up to the mark.... what could go wrong?

I thought we'd probably lose but not by such a big margin. Very poor performance.

once Patel lifted Robbo and Turner in a couple of balls, I thought we'd lose by more

For once de Loose scores more than he concedes. Raine's poor run continues

Despite the early promise offered by big scores in the first two matches, we have settled into a 160 team

There's nothing wrong with being a 160 team, as long as you don't have bowlers routinely going for 10 an over. Sadly we have a few

Still don't understand not bowling Turner. I think he should have bowled more throughout the competition but not bowling at all tonight seems odd.

I agree

at least we've seen that de Loose can score a few runs and hit a few boundaries. I don't want him to bowl any more than 2 overs. Glover is in as a specialist bowler, so if he plays he has to bowl 4 or what's the point, but I don't want him to bowl more than 2 overs either, because we can't afford the runs he concedes or the lack of control that he brings, so he probably shouldn't be in the side

I just can't help but feel that we are a genuine batter short in the side. Bowling Turner more will open up a slot for another batter. When he does bowl we invariably use 7 bowlers, which is often a sign that things aren't working well in the bowling dept. It's a shame that we haven't had Potts available this year, but there you go, it is what it is

I believe that Coughlin is fit again, so the fact that we aren't playing him, suggests we're keeping him back for the CC, presumably to replace Potts

And I still don't know why we haven't played McKinney. I'm sure I heard Campbell say that his batting was made for T20, but I might have made that up

I don't mind de Leede playing as an extra all round option, but don't think we should be relying on him as a key part of the attack. Also, maybe it would be worth swapping Parnell for Patel (if he's still around), and going in with three spinners. Might dry up some of the runs which the seamers are conceding...

Wouldn't be a bad idea - it's a mystery why Turner has bowled so few overs. , unless he has an injury that keeps flaring up.

no that won't happen. It might not seem like it, but it's fit and available seamers we are short of, which is why Parnell is here

I feel a little sorry for him. His job is to bowl for all the periods where the batsmen are shooting from the hip. It's unrealistic to expect him to economical, but he could do with a few more wickets. If he doesn't bowl 2 in the PP and 2 at the death, then we need somebody else to do it and the options include de Loose, Glover (both of whom Yorks put to the sword in the PP), Ben Raine or 'Stan' Robinson. Unfair to give that task to a young lad just starting his career and we need Raine to help try and exert some control in the middle overs.

Looks like ideal conditions at Grace Road and we've been put in - suspect we'll need an above par score.
Other thing I didn't understand last night is bringing in Glover for Stan. It can only be an injury, workload management given his age and inexperience, or a rest because we're going to play him against Glamorgan. He may be only 18/19 but already looks better than Glover imo.

Just noticed Stan is back tonight.
And so is Matt Salisbury...for Leicestershire.

I hope I was wrong about it being ideal batting conditions because if I wasn't we look set to post a poor score unless the last 6 overs go for about 80 runs!
