cheers SP. It took a few years longer than I think any of us thought it would.

we don't appear to be in any hurry today. Mere 4 an over pace. Not long ago that would have felt like positive intent, now it feels like consolidation batting

I'm pleased we haven't tried to do anything stupid like contrive a result (or at least we haven't up to now). Bat out the day, come home and start the celebrations

Another 50 for Borthwick. Quietly gone about his batting this year. Often felt like the weak link in the line up, but he's got a hundred and four fifties to his name this season and time to add to that.

And he has done- century and a rapid hundred partnership with Robinson.
Been a session of two halves - looked like a wicket was likely at any point after lunch with numerous edges, playing and missing with a couple of dropped catches but since Bedingham got out it has been a run fest.
Speaking of Bedingham, Martin Emmerson mentioned he has 4 hundreds this year and one fifty. Impressive conversion rate.

Borthwick did well to turn that into a hundred. After a very slow start he fairly galloped along at the end

Robbo is terrific.... he comes out and he just punishes bowlers. He's passed 1000 runs, has 3 hundreds and 5 fifties and all at the trifling strike rate of very nearly 90. Add in 35 catches, 9 stumpings and the sound of Kent gnashing their teeth and gnawing on their own livers

I voted for Robbo. I know Lees has all the runs and Ben R and Pottsy have a load of wickets, but it's Robbo walking out that finishes off any resistance that opposition sides might have otherwise put up. He just takes games away from teams...... "resistance is futile!"

Campo said that Robbo was a work in progress and he isn't yet the finished article.... well I can't wait to see him when he is

Hard for me to choose between Lees and Robinson. both outstanding. Think you're right though, Ollie just shading it - have been a few times this season when we looked to be in trouble and he saved the day. Meanwhile at Kent Billings has gone from the red ball side after a terrible run of form and the other keeper Jordan Cox has signed for Essex!

Agreed. One of the match reports mentioned that his 60 today was his lowest score in the first innings since June!

I know Ryan Campbell has said he thinks our cutting edge with the ball has been crucial. I agree with him but the batting has been extraordinary, Worcestershire have 5 wins to our 6 but we're 47 points above them because of the remarkable batting performances.

Wouldn't recognise James Hilditch if he sat next to me but surely a lot of the batting transformation must be down to him.
